In the afternoon of September 10, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy hosted a reception for the delegation of the Cuban Ministry of Labor and Social Security headed the Minister Margarita M. González Fernández, under the framework of the working visit to Vietnam.
At the meeting, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy briefly introduced to the delegation about the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh province as well as its outstanding achievements in administrative reform, improving competitiveness, and attracting investment into the province. She also focused on Quang Ninh's good performance in the social welfare activities, such as: taking care of contributors; creating jobs for the local people or opening training courses for employers, etc.
The Cuban Minister of Labor and Social Security, Margarita M. González Fernández, in turn, sincerely thanked Quang Ninh's Vice Chairwoman for her cordial reception for the delegation.
The Minister expressed her hope that the visit in Vietnam would bring good results in the relationship between the two countries, as well as between Cuban localities and Quang Ninh.
At the meeting, leaders of the Cuban Ministry of Labor and Social Security also exchanged some of the social welfare issues with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Quang Ninh province.
