Quang Ninh's Chairman receives France's Secretary of State for Administrative Reform and Simplification

On Feb. 25, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long had a coutersy meeting with Mr. Jean Vincent Placé, France's Secretary of State for Administrative Reform and Simplification in Ha Long city.

Speaking at the reception, QNPPC's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation to Quang Ninh. He strongly affirmed that Quang Ninh always attaches great importance to building e-government, focusing on the adminisatrative reform by applying information technologies in managing and providing the online public services in order to a better service for locals and enterprises.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Long informed that, Quang Ninh is now implementing the project to develop a smart city oriented toward a modern and environmental friendly urban area in accordance with the global trends. Thus, Quang Ninh hopes to receive the professional assistance and consultancy from French Government and enterprises to succeed the development of a smart city in Quang Ninh. He also aksed the Agency for France development (AFD) for consideration of providing Quang Ninh with the Official Development Assistance (ODA) to carry out this project.

For his turn, the  France's Secretary of State for Administrative Reform and Simplification, Mr. Jean Vincent Placé, highly appreciated Quang Ninh's development in information technologies. He then said that with its experience, France is willing to assist Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh province in particular in developing smart city, building e-government and online public services.
