Quang Ninh delegation visits and works in Belgium
At the invitation of the Embassy of Vietnam in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the European Union (EU), a delegation from Quang Ninh province is conducting a working visit to Belgium from June 4 to 9.
The delegation is led by Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Vu Van Dien, and includes representatives from provincial departments, sectors, and local enterprises.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation met with Ambassador of Vietnam to Belgium and Luxembourg, Nguyen Van Thao, and Head of the Vietnamese Mission to the EU.
During the meeting, Mr. Vu Van Dien briefed the Ambassador on Quang Ninh’s recent socio-economic achievements, emphasizing the province’s commitment to comprehensive, rapid, and sustainable development.
He noted that the province is placing strong emphasis on administrative reform, investment attraction, and international cooperation.
He expressed hope for continued support from the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium in fostering trade, investment, science and technology, innovation, tourism, healthcare, and logistics collaboration between Quang Ninh and partners in Belgium and the EU.

Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao commended Quang Ninh for its remarkable progress and noted the province’s strategic strengths in transportation, particularly its seaport infrastructure, which offers strong potential for partnerships with Belgian and EU enterprises in maritime transport and logistics.
He affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium will serve as a bridge to promote connections and future cooperation between Belgian businesses and Quang Ninh.
According to the visit agenda, the delegation will take part in various events organized by the Embassy and the Vietnamese Mission to the EU. These include promoting engagement with the overseas Vietnamese community and enhancing cooperation between Quang Ninh and European partners in fields such as trade, investment, science and technology, innovation, culture, and tourism.
In addition, Quang Ninh will host its own activities in Belgium, including trade and investment promotion, cultural and tourism showcases, and fact-finding missions on science, technology, and innovation development.
