On September 10, the Quang Ninh City Museum and Library held a ceremony to receive 31 artefacts donated by Tran Trong Ha, former director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Museum.
The Quang Ninh City Museum and Library received a total of 31 artefacts, including 19 copper-alloy coins dating from the Tay Son period, under the reigns of Emperor Thai Duc, Emperor Quang Trung and Emperor Canh Thinh, and 12 ceramic and porcelain objects dating from the ninth–10th centuries to the early 20th century. The Quang Ninh Museum is one of Quang Ninh's popular attractions for both domestic and international visitors, making a significant contribution to the growth of cultural tourism and the tourism sector as a whole in Quang Ninh.
The addition of these 31 artefacts not only enriches the museum's valuable collection, but also reflects the sense of responsibility and strong commitment to heritage preservation of those who have devoted themselves to safeguarding the province's heritage. The donation will help enrich the city's heritage resources and further establish the museum as a place where memories are preserved and the past is connected with the present and the future.
