Over 7,500 tourism workers jabbed with the first Covid-19 vaccine shots

Accordingly, as many as 7,596 managers and employees working at travel agencies, hotels, cruise ships, etc. and those who interact directly with tourists in their daily routine have already been administered the first shots. This number is equal to one fourth of the province’s tourism workers.

The 5th phase of Covid-19 immunization plan focusing on tourism workers was implemented from July 13-15 at 4 places including the Quang Ninh Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital in Ha Long city and 3 hospitals of Co To island district, Mong Cai city and Binh Lieu city.

The vaccination process was undertaken in line with all regulations issued by the Ministry of Health.

The second jabs will be given after one month as prescribed.

An effective vaccine program is expected to be a significant boon for tourism, which has been badly affected by border closures, travel restrictions and social distancing measures related to Covid-19. This is also among Quang Ninh’s moves to maintaing safety for locals and tourists amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
