Mr. Vu Van Dien becomes new Ha Long Party Secretary
On Feb. 4, a meeting on announcing the Provincial Party Committee’ decision on personnel tasks was held by the municipal Party’s Committee of Ha Long city. Prominent among those was Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, Provincial Party Secretary cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Council.

Mr. Vu Van Dien, Head of the provincial Party Inspection Committee, has officially become the new Secretary of Ha Long city’s Party Committee, replacing Mr. Tran Duc Lam who has taken retirement.
At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky praised Mr. Tran Duc Lam for his considerable contribution to the socio-economic development of the city in the period from 2015 and 2020.
He also congratulated Mr. Vu Van Dien on his new position and asked him to greatly contribute to the development of the city’s politic system and economy, meeting the expectations and trust of the Party, Government and People of Ha Long city.
Mr. Vu Van Dien expressed his great thanks for being trusted by the Party, authorities and people and committed to do his utmost to fulfill all of his tasks as the secretary of the municipal Party Committee for the prupose of sustainable development of the city in the future.
Ha Long, the capital city and first-class provincial city of Quang Ninh province, possesses abundant potential for tourism development, and has long been an ideal destination for holidaymakers. One of the highlights is Ha Long Bay, which has been twice recognised by UNESCO as a global heritage site for its landscape and geological value.
Under the a master plan for Quang Ninh province’s Ha Long city to 2040 with a vision towards 2050, the locality will be converted into a civilised and friendly sea tourism city with synchronous and modern socio-economic infrastructure systems. It is also expected to become a national service-tourism urban area and a driving force for regional growth.
