On the morning of October 18, Ha Long Ward held the programme “Ha Long Women – Dance alongside the Heritage Bay” at October 30 Square to mark the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930–October 20, 2026) and welcome Vietnam Culture Day 2026.
The programme brought together more than 1,200 female officials and members of clubs, teams and groups across the ward. Against the backdrop of Ha Long Bay, a World Natural Heritage Site, participants performed carefully choreographed mass dances to lively music, creating a joyful and energetic atmosphere while showcasing local women’s solidarity, confidence and dynamism.
The programme aimed to strengthen solidarity and creativity among women and encourage their active role in building cultural life at the grassroots level. It also promoted the image of modern Vietnamese women as confident, elegant, dynamic and proud of their cultural identity. The event was expected to help stimulate tourism and contribute to Ha Long Ward’s vision of becoming a “key, model, prosperous, compassionate and happy” ward.
