On Tuesday morning, Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh Municipal People's Committee Vu Thi Mai Anh warmly hosted the Miss World Organization and the top three Miss World 2026 titleholders at city hall.
In the warm afterglow of the memorable 73rd Miss World pageant, local leaders hope to build on the event’s global inspiration to welcome more international visitors, thoughtfully showcasing Quang Ninh as a modern, green, smart, and culturally rich destination.
The reception honored newly crowned Miss World 2026 Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic, alongside First Runner-up Elisabeth Reynés of Spain and Second Runner-up Taanusiya Chetty of Malaysia. Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Mai Anh extended her heartfelt congratulations to the organization for successfully staging the 73rd edition in Vietnam, while praising the titleholders for their remarkable accomplishments.
Recalling Quang Ninh's pride in serving as the entry point for Miss World contestants in August, Ms. Mai Anh noted that local agencies and enterprises coordinated seamlessly to ensure a safe, smooth, and welcoming opening leg. Above all, she emphasized that the pageant served as a meaningful platform to spotlight the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site of Ha Long Bay and Vietnam’s vibrant culture to a global audience.
Resonating deeply with Miss World’s enduring motto "Beauty with a Purpose", the Vice Chairwoman expressed her hope that the titleholders would act as global ambassadors of compassion throughout their tenure, warmly inviting them to return for future community initiatives.
As she outlined the region’s vision, Ms. Mai Anh highlighted Quang Ninh’s journey toward sustainable development- building a modern, smart, and eco-friendly urban space anchored in rich local identity. She expressed full confidence that the beauty queens would act as bridge-builders, sharing their personal stories of a safe, welcoming, and dynamic Quang Ninh with global travel communities.
In response, Miss World 2026 Joheirry Mola Dominguez and her runners-up expressed their delight in returning to the coastal province. Reflecting on their journey along the pristine shores of Ha Long Bay, the winners shared that the dramatic limestone karsts, rich local cuisine, and genuine hospitality left an indelible impression. The titleholders pledged to actively champion Ha Long Bay and Vietnam on the world stage, looking forward to future cultural exchanges in the region.
