Memorial ceremony for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at Yen Tu

On July 24, a memorial ceremony for Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, was held at Truc Lam Palace, Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes.

The memorial ceremony was attended by leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province, leaders of Uong Bi city, representatives of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Quang Ninh province.

About 1,000 monks, Buddhists, locals, representatives of agencies and businesses in Uong Bi city also came to pay respect to the late leader.

Attendants paid respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and together prayed for national peace and prosperity, world peace, and people's happiness.

The Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes was honored to welcome General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong twice. The first time he had visited Yen Tu as Chairman of the National Assembly was on December 13, 2008. The second time was on April 6, 2022 when he was General Secretary.

During his visits, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong left deep respect and trust in the hearts of monks, nuns, and Buddhists. As an outstanding leader, he possessed a high wisdom, a high level of cultural intelligence, a simple and harmonious lifestyle, and a great personality. The profound memories and lessons from the Party leader will forever be engraved and resonate through time.
