This activity is part of JICA’s technical cooperation project on “Green Growth Promotion in Ha Long Bay” (the 2nd phase), with the aim of fostering green growth in Quang Ninh via the transition from “brown” to “green” economy. The event attracted the participation of 30 volunteers from Ha Long Bay Management Board, Ha Long Univeristy and the Osaka Prefecture University, Sakai, Japan. The participants planted 500 Rhizophora mucronata and Aegiceras corniculatum trees in the area of Dau Go Cave, Ha Long Bay.

The program is held annually, greatly contributing to the development of flora and fauna and ecosystems in Ha Long Bay and raising Quang Ninh youths’ awareness of enviromental protection of Ha Long Bay – the World Natural Heritage and Wonder.
