On the morning of Aug.10, at Lan Be Park, Ha Long City, Ha Long City’s Youth Union, the Youth Union of Quang Ninh Provincial Agencies, the Youth Union of the Department of Health in coordination with Cuc Phuong JSC held a ceremony to launch the movement “ Green Saturdays – Joining hands to protect enviroment and limit plastic waste”.
After the launching ceremony, delegates and youth union members actively collected waste and propagandized environmental protection from Lan Be Park to surrounding areas, such as Quang Ninh Museum, Vincom Ha Long Trade Center, Ha Long Market No.1.
The youth union members also distributed leaflets to local business households on limiting plastic waste, nylon bags and gave cloth bags to them, contributing to changing their habit of using the nylon bags in the daily activities. This event aimed at responding to the national movement against plastic waste for environmental protection.
