Quang An Commune, Dam Ha District is an unknown place for many people. However, the Hero conical hats made by Quang An conical hat making cooperative is so familiar with tourists, even international ones.
Hero conical hat making in Quang An commune has been existed for a long time, but it has operated at a smale scale. Previously, only some handful ethnic minorities knew the way to make the bamboo-based hats. Locals in the hamlets and villages admired their dexterity, so they called the above-mentioned products as Hero conical hats.
Nowadays, the hats have been produced in the direction of commodity production by the Quang An conical hat making cooperative with 12 members. In 2018, the Hero conical hats were certified by the Department of Science and Technology. Quang An commune completed the intellectual property registration dossier at the National Office of Intellectual Property under the Ministry of Science and Technology to be granted an exclusive trademark.
Following visitors’ steps, the Hero conical hats appeared in Japan, South Korea and many European countries, bringing happiness to locals in Quang An commune and Dam Ha district as well.
