Red Cross volunteers of the Japanese prefecture of Kyushu and their counterparts from Quang Ninh Province had an experience exchange meeting in Ha Long City on the afternoon of Aug 21.
At the exchange meeting, the Quang Ninh provincial Red Cross leaders introduced the Red Cross volunteers of Kyusyu Prefecture about their operational model, such as: organizational structure, support activities, emergency relief, humanitarian assistance, voluntary blood donation, humanitarian fund boxes etc.
During the working visit to Quang Ninh, the delegation learned about the mangrove planting model from the projects supported by the Japaneses Government and the activities of Vietnam Red Cross as well as visited and presented gifts to the poor households in some areas in the province.
Within the framework of the event, the two sides joined arts exchanges with music and dance performances bearing the traditional cultural identity of Vietnam and Japan, thereby contributing to helping the volunteers of the two sides share experiences for mutual understanding, building a close and friendly relation concerning Red Cross activities.
