Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visits Thanh Cong - Viet Hung auto plant

Within the framework of his visit to Quang Ninh province, Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh on October 8 paid a visit to Thanh Cong - Viet Hung auto plant in Ha Long city.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited the Thanh Cong - Viet Hung auto plant.

The delegation was acommpanied by the Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party's Committee Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party's Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Cao Tuong Huy, and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party's Committee cum Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh praised Quang Ninh authorities and people for promptly and effectively implementing recovery programs after typhoon Yagi, especially in field of industrial production.

He also appreciated the active cooperation between Quang Ninh province and Thanh Cong Group, which proved high effectiveness through the implementation of the project of Thanh Cong - Viet Hung auto plant.

The project of Thanh Cong - Viet Hung auto plant is expected to be accomplished by the end of this year.

Thanh Cong Group was asked to apply innovative technologies into its production and consumption in order to keep adapting to global trends in this era of globalization. The government would continue offering more incentive policies on promoting the automotive industry, contributing to enhancing the competiveness of the economy.

Thanh Cong Viet Hung, owned by Thanh Cong (TC) Group, the assembler and distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Vietnam, is headquartered at Viet Hung Industrial Park, located in Ha Long City, with its charter capital reaching VND1.736 trillion ($72.9 million).

The auto manufacturing and assembling plant, once being put into operation, could churn out 120,000 cars per year and will become the first facility to assemble and make Škoda Auto-branded cars in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Previously, the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority on September 18, 2020 granted an investment certificate to the Thanh Cong Viet Hung auto plant project.

With dynamic leadership and strategic collaborations, the Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory is poised to reshape Vietnam's automotive landscape, driving innovation and economic growth.

The project of Thanh Cong - Viet Hung auto plant is expected to be accomplished by the end of this year.
