Bai Tu Long Bay - Quang Ninh’s emerging tourism icon
As the summer travel season begins, Quang Ninh welcomes visitors with a variety of exciting and diverse new tourism experiences. Among them, Bai Tu Long Bay stands out as an unmissable destination - a hidden gem waiting to be explored.
Bai Tu Long is renowned for its majestic islands, mysterious caves, and pristine beaches. Located within the Bai Tu Long Bay complex, Bai Tu Long National Park was honored as an ASEAN Heritage Park by the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity in 2017. Its breathtaking seascapes make it an ideal destination for year-round tourism, offering a wide range of exciting activities such as sightseeing cruises, swimming, kayaking, parasailing, recreational fishing, and eco-tourism adventures.
What sets Bai Tu Long apart from Ha Long Bay is its inhabited island system, where visitors can immerse themselves in the authentic daily life of local communities. Several islands feature beautiful beaches and flourishing coral reefs, with the potential to develop nature reserves and eco-parks that enhance both tourism and relaxation experiences.

On July 19, 2024, the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province officially announced an exciting new phase in the region’s marine tourism development with Decision No. 2119/QĐ-UBND, unveiling a wide array of sightseeing and tourism routes on both Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. This includes 8 exceptional routes across Ha Long Bay, 10 breathtaking journeys on Bai Tu Long Bay, and 3 special itineraries connecting the two iconic destinations—offering visitors even more ways to explore the stunning beauty of Quang Ninh's world-class seascape.
Most notably, at the end of March, Quang Ninh Province officially launched a series of brand-new, unforgettable tourism routes on Bai Tu Long Bay—a pristine and lesser-known jewel of the region that’s fast becoming a must-visit destination for nature lovers, cultural explorers, and eco-conscious travelers alike.
