The opening ceremony featured poetry recitals by poets from regions across the country as well as from China and the Republic of Korea.

The highlight of the poetry night was a gathering of poets representing 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam who told stories about their own lands.

The two-day event will also include a seminar on poetry on the morning of February 25. A space was set up to display artifacts and works of 12 poets, including President Ho Chi Minh and 11 ethnic poets who won the Ho Chi Minh Awards for Literature and Arts.
