2024 Spring Festival scheduled for late January
The 2024 Spring Festival to celebrate the Lunar New Year is scheduled to open on January 26, according to a decision by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The event will take place at the Vietnam Culture and Arts Exhibition Centre in Hanoi and aims to honour the traditional culture of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam.
It also provides a place for the capital city’s residents to enjoy shopping and entertainment during the Lunar New Year occasion.
Within the framework of the festival, there will be an exhibition featuring 100 unique sculptures depicting the dragon — the animal representing 2024 — while another exhibition will feature images of the dragon in paintings and ao dai designs.
During the week-long festival, there will be also various exhibitions showcasing local specialties, calligraphy, flowers, ornamental trees, and ceramic products from renowned ceramic villages in northern Vietnam.
The festival will close on February 1.
