A luxurious cruise ship, the World Dream with 4,184 tourists on board arrived in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh on August 1. This is the first ship that the travel agent Saigontourist (Quang Ninh branch) has welcomed in this season, marking an important events to celebrate the 43th anniversary of Saigontourist.
After docking Hon Gai port, the passengers visited Ha Long Bay and some of the tourist attractions in the city.
Mrs. Vu Thi Hong Quyen, Director of the Saigontourist’s Quang Ninh branch, said that the cruise tourism season begins from October to April. Therefore, the event is a good signal for Quang Ninh tourism sector in this year’s season.
“Besides several luxurious cruise lines, such as Ellebrity Millenium, SuperStar Virgo, SupeStar Gemini..., Saigontourist plans to cooperate with the cruise line “TUI Cruise”, a Germany-based, joint venture cruise line of the German Tourist firm, in an effort to meet the increasing travel demand of international tourists when they come to visit Ha Long Bay, and develop the brand of cruise tourism of the sector”, she added.
