On August 12, in Ha Long city, a workshop titled "Protecting National Brand- legal basis" was jointly held by the Centre of Training, Consulting and Economic Information (under the Vietnam Association of Science-Technology) and the Center of Information, Library and Scientific Research. The workshop was attended by Mr. Nguyen Si Dung-Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Office; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc- Deputy Head of NA's Economic Committee, Quang Ninh provincial leaders and representatives from the central and provincial departments; economic experts, lawyers and enterprises.
Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of QNPPC Dang Huy Hau indicated the situation and reasons why Quang Ninh's products haven't been developed their brand at national and international level. Thus, the province will pay high attention to strengthen science-technology and agricultural products from now to 2015, striving to develop 50 collective brands enhance the promotion and advertisement of the trademarks. Vice Chairman Hau emphasized that in order to develop trademarks for its goods, Quang Ninh need to draw strategies to develop its commodity production, improve the service quality, especially human resource.
Representatives at the workshop have discussed about national trademark protection. They also indicated the current situations, causes and then proposed solutions to build and protect the national trademark.
To conclude the workshop, the Organizing Board has awarded commemorative medals to the units who have excellent achievements in building, developing and protecting the national brand.
