At National Science and Technology Contest for the North in Hanoi from March 9 to 12, two secondary school students from Tan An wards, Quang Yen town won the first prize for their machine to clean the canvas bottom of shrimp ponds faster and cleaner.
With the support from teachers, it took two students, Tai and Hoan, 8 months to complete their machine which wins all shrimp raisers’ hearts. The machine runs on the basis of water power which spins the broom, helping to clean the bottom of shrimp ponds. It is capable of cleaning an area of up to 2,000 square meters just in half of a day. The same area used to take at least 2 days with 4 people involved.
Their first prize at National Science and Technology Contest for school year 2018-2019 marks the first time Quang Ninh’s representatives have won first prize at the contest.
Above all, their love for science and technology has inspired a lot of other students.
