After one year of operation, the Walking Street in Tien Yen has now become an attractive spot alluring a great number arrivals of the locals and visitors, expecially in weekends.
The street is an ideal place to organize a wide range of cultural activities and folk games that creat an impressing atmostphere for the people to enjoy. It is also a space to display goods booths introducing hi-quality products of the locality.
Do Thu Trang, a 30 year old visitor from Hanoi, said that “This the second time, I have been to Tien Yen walking street, and I am impressed of the possitive changes. Goods are more diversified, meeting the demand of the visitors, the local people’s awareness of doing tourism is raised. The upgrading of the street not only boosts the development of trade and services of the district but also helps to host a series of cultural activities of Tien Yen town in particular and the district in general.”
To date, the People’s Committee of Tien Yen almost completed upgrading the infrastructure on the street. Accordingly, two public toilets were installed and 30 dustbins were placed along the street, 2 new greeting gates were built, more green trees and flowers were planted, etc.
As reported, in 2017, the walking street welcomed around 130,000 visitor arrivals while in only the first eight months of 2018, the number of visitors coming to the district was 100,000. This is a good signal for tourism sector, promising to turn the walking street into an ideal tourist attraction of Ten Yen.
