In order to carry out the voluntary blood donation themed “Joining hands to push back Covid-19”, a voluntary phase launched in Ha Long City on Apr. 19.
The program was organized in response to the call of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to compensate the blood shortage in cases of emergency and treatment for patients. In the context of Covid-19 outbreak, this humanitarian activity becomes more practical.
The blood donation phase lanched in line with regulations issued by the Ministry of Health and National Steering Committee on Covid-19 prevention and control.
The program attracted the participation of 46 youth unions and collected 212 blood units. It will be expanded to other localities in Quang Ninh.
