The information was released from the May 28 meeting regarding the capital sourced from the social mobilization for restoration of the Tran dynasty relic based in Dong Trieu.
Under the Decision N0 307/QĐ-TTg dated on July 2, 2013 on the PM’s approval of the overall plan on restoration and promotion of the Tran dynasty relic’s values, there are 14 relics and relic complexes with 22 sites located in An Sinh, Binh Khe, Trang An and Thuy An communes, (Dong Trieu town).
As reported, the poject on managing, restorating and promoting the values of the relics within Dong Trieu town by 2020 and in a vision to 2030 has been conducted over the years. Dong Trieu town was very active in mobilizing fincancial sources to restore the Tran dynasty National Special Relic and other key attractions based in Dong Trieu. Vingroup’s Charity Fund donated an amount of VND 500 billion.
Addressing the meeting, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc highly aprreciated the Dong Trieu People Town’s Committee for their efforts in taking all measures to restore and promote the values of historical and spiritual relics in the town. He was also thankful for Vingroup's donation to restore the Tran dynasty relics.
He emphasized that a part from satisfying spiritual demands of the people, the restoration of the Tran dynasty relics, along with other historic and spiritual attractions must be in line with socio-economic growth of not only Dong Trieu town but also the whole province. The Secretary expected that Dong Trieu would be developed into a Buddhism center of the country.
Having said that, the Secretary asked the People's Commmittee of Dong Trieu town to continue studying and proposing spiritual relics which need to be restored; closely cooperate with Vingroup in completing project proposals and setting detailed plans for the most needed investment components. Of which, the first priority is the restoration of Ngoa Van pagoda, Ho Thien and Da Chong relics.
He requested Dong Trieu Town People’s Committee to effectively manage all the issues related to the investment and restoration of all the spiritual relics; ensuring good management of festival activities in the town.
