Viet Nam and Australia need to work for a new height in their relations, PM Nguyen Tan Dung said at his reception in Hanoi on September 17 for Mr. Hugh Borrowman, new Australian Ambassador to Viet Nam.
The PM stressed that the multifaceted relations between Viet Nam and Australia has been promoted and developing for the sake of the two sides.
He hoped that the new Ambassador will closely work with Vietnamese relevant agencies to implement effectively the agreements inked in the fields of economics, trade, investment, education and training as well as those related to Official Development Assistance (ODA).
PM Dung also expected that Australia will support the establishment of a strong and prosperous ASEAN community and ASEAN’s common standpoint on the East Sea issues for regional and intentional peace, stability, cooperation and development.
The Ambassador asserted that he will make every effort to boost the two nations’ ties in the fields of investment, trade, agriculture and national security.
