Within the agenda of the 12th Intergovernmental Regional Environmentally Sustainable Transport Forum in Asia (EST 12) taking place in Vietnam from Oct 28th-31st, a delegation had a working session with Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairman, Bui Van Khang.
Speaking at the session, Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairman gave brief introduction about provincial socio-economic development in general and transport system development in particular. He emphasized that in addition to investment in transport infrastructure, Quang Ninh had paid concern to environmental protection via building smart cities, smart transport system, gas emission smonitoring ,etc.
Environment Coordinator United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), Choudhury Rudra Charan Mohanty, representative for the delegation, thanked Quang Ninh’s leader for his warm welcome. He also suggested some issues concerning cooperation with some regional and international citiesin building smart urban area in line with environmental protection.
The delegation also visited Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center, and Quang Ninh Public Service Administration Center.
