Vietnam-China International Trade and Tourism Fair 2017 opens

With the theme of “Mutual cooperation for mutual development”, the Vietnam-China International Trade and Tourism Fair 2017 officially opened on Friday (Dec. 1) in Mong Cai city.

The fair attracts more than 450 booths, including over 300 firms from Vietnam, 122 from China, and 16 enterprises from Thailand.

The fair is devided into 5 main sections, which present the socio-economic achievements of Mong Cai City, other localities and businesses of Vietnam and China. In addition, it also displays tourism products and services of the two countries. A new activity for this year’s event is displaying speciality fruit and agricultural and seafood products of both Viet Nam and China. Many booths also introduce commodities made under the “One village, one product” programme in Viet Nam..

A series of activities are held during the fair, namely: workshop promoting a free trade area in Vietnam-China border regions; a forum will be held to promote the trade of fruit and agricultural products through Vietnam’s Mong Cai and China’s Dongxing border gates; street festival in Tran Phu ward; singing performance by both Quang Ninh and Dongxing’s youth, and an Open Golf Friendship Tournament, etc.

The Vietnam-China International Trade and Tourism Fair 2017, part of Vietnam’s national trade promotion programme, is the 12th of its kind held annually on a rotational basis between Mong Cai and Dongxing cities.

The fair runs till December 7.
