VietJet Air launches new route connecting Ho Chi Minh and Quang Ninh

The budget carrier VieJet Air will operate the flights between Ho Chi Minh city and Quang Ninh via Van Don International Airport with a frequency of a flight per day, according to VietJet Air’s Deputy Commercial Director Ha Nang Viet.

After the working session with Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and the investor of Van Don International Airport, VietJet Air is enhancing its promotion campaing. Tickets have been sold since Dec 18, with the price from 0 VND to 900,000 VND (excluding taxes and fees) on its website at www.vietjetair.com.

Vietjet Air will operate return flights on the route from January 20, 2019 by Airbus A320 with 180 seats and Airbus Industrie A321 with 230 The flights will depart from HCM City at 7:00 and arrive at Van Don at 9:15. The return flight will take off from Van Don Airport at 9:50 and land in HCM City at 12:05. 

VieJet Air is a well-known low-cost airline in Vietnam, and has become very popular for international passengers. It plans to expand its market, gradually targeting at the sustainble development and developing Van Don International Airport as its usual route.

Earlier, the national carrier Vietnam Airlines officially launched a direct flight connecting Ho Chi Minh city and Quang Ninh province via the Van Don International Airport, from Dec 30. It will operate the flights between Tan Son Nhat and Van Don aiports with a frequency of a flight per day by Airbus A321. The flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 2 p.m, and from Van Don at 4:45 pm with an expected flight time of 2 hours and 5 minutes.
