VFM-Wilmar Flour Mill construction kicks off

On July 31, at Cai Lan Industrial Zone (in Ha Long city), the VFM-Wilmar Flour Mills Company Limited (under the Wilmar International Joint Venture Group - Singapore and FFM Group-Malaysia) has held a ground-breaking ceremony to start the construction of VFM-Wilmar Flour Mill. The chairman of QNPPC Nguyen Van Doc and other provincial leaders attended the ceremony.

The 3.4 hectares VFM-Wilmar Flour Mill at Cai Lan Industrial Zone has a total investment capital of over US$47 mln and a capacity of 500 tons per day. The Mill will be equipped with modern and environmentall-friendly technology. It is expected to create jobs for about 200 local labors. This is one of the three projects  receiving investment license right after the Quang Ninh Investment Promotion Conference 2012. As planned, the Mill will be completed and put into its operation by the end of 2014, with its estimated annual contribution of over VND 200 bln to the provincial budget.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Van Doc stressed that the project implementation is an evidence of the Wilmar Group's successful and effective investment in Quang Ninh, reflecting a good collaboration of the foreign investors and QNPPC. It also affirmed great efforts and attention of the QNPPC in reforming administrative procedures in order to provide investors with the best conditions.

Mr. Nguyen Van Doc confirmed that QNPPC will always accompany investors during their project implementation process to ensure that the Mill will be put into effective operation in accordance with the proposed deadline.
