The Van Don International Airport has welcomed approximately 125,000 domestic and international passenger arrivals since its first opening date on December 12, 2018.
Currently, Van Don Airport is operating three air routes, of which, the domestic one connecting Van Don with Ho Chi Minh city has been served by Vietnam’s three leading airlines including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Bamboo Airways.
In terms of international routes, some charter flights from the airports of Baoan and Shenzhen in China and South Korea’s Incheon Airport landed at Van Don Airport.
So far, Van Don Airport has greeted more than 123,000 passengers catching 925 flights between Van Don and Ho Chi Minh city and 2,000 ones travelling on 21 international flights from Van Don to China and Korea and vice versa.
As scheduled, this aiport on July 16 will launch two new air routes to China’s Kuming Airport with the frequency of 02 flights per day and 01 flight to Nanning Airport daily.
