The People’s Committee of Uong Bi city is on burst of speed in preparing for the Cherry Blossom and Yen Tu Yellow Apricot Flowers Festival 2019 which will take place from March 9-17 in the city.
With the theme of “Cooperation and Development – Destination for success”, the Cherry Blossom and Yen Tu Yellow Apricot Flowers Festival 2019 is a part of a series of activitives held by Quang Ninh province to respond to the National Tourism Year 2019. It consists of the first Conference on “Cooperation in Promoting Services, Tourism, Science and Technology”. On this occasion, Japanese enterprises will introduce information about the technologies of waste treatment in industrial production, and Uong Bi city will advertise its potential for tourism and service development.
This annual festival, which always draws a large number of delegates, bussinessmen, domestic and international visitors and locals, aims to introduce the image and people of Uong Bi city as well as its advantages for culture and tourism to visitors in general and Japanese people in particular. This is also a chance for the two sides to boost the advertisment of Yen Tu relic site, a buddism center of Vietnam, and Japanese cultural characteristics.
The event is expected to help enhance the cooperation tie and promote investments among the enterprises, thereby fostering the diplomatic relationship between Quang Ninh and Japanese’s localities.
Along with around 100 trees and 5,000 cherry branches, there will be 200 yellow apricot trees displayed at this year’s festival. Besides, visitors and locals will have chances to buy Quang Ninh’s hi-quality local products as well as Japanese goods.
With a wide range of cultural exchange program and folk games of both Vietnam and Japan, the festival promises to mark a significant event to the visitors and locals.
To make sure that the Cherry Blossom and Yen Tu Yellow Apricot Flowers Festival will be opened as planned, the People’s City Committee of Uong Bi city in collaboration with the Provincial Party’s Department for Propaganda and Education has intensified propaganda activities via media; scirpt and plans for art performances have been set up to prepare for the festival. In addition, the Uong Bi People’s City Committee has paid much attention to ensuring security and safety; fire prevention and fighting; food hygience and safety, and environmental sanitation.
Quality of goods and services will be carefully checked before being displayed at the festival.
To date, with the active involvement of the polotical system, great efforts of Uong Bi city and other relevant units, preparatory work for the Cherry Blossom and Yen Tu Yellow Apricot Flowers Festival 2019 has been fulfiled. Uong Bi city is now ready for an impressive festival featuring the typical cultural characteristics of both Vietnam and Japan.
