The northern region’s final night of Miss World Vietnam 2019 pageant was held at Tuan Chau International Tourism & Recreation Complex on July 7.
After the Ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) competition, 25 contestants was chosen to partake in swimsuit and party dress sub-contests.
Finally, the best 20 contestants were Tran Thị Mai, Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, Tran Thi Hoa Phuong, Le Thanh Tu, Nong Thuy Hang, Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga, Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, Tran My Ngoc, Nguyen Bich Thuy, La Thi My Anh, Phan Cam Nhi, Đinh Quynh Trang, Ta Huyen My, Tran Thị Thu Uyen, Bich Ngoc, Trinh Le Uyen, Pham Thi Anh Thu, Luong Thuy Linh, Nguyen Tuong San and Kim Tra My.
Of which, two candidates from Quang Ninh were Nguyen Thị Lan Anh (Candidate No. 009) and Nguyen Thị Huyen Trang (Candidate No. 255).
As scheduled, these best contestants will partake in the national pageant’s final round held on August 3 in the central city of Da Nang. The overall winner will represent Vietnam at the Miss World pageant which will take place in Thailand in November.
Miss World is widely considered as one of the most reputable beauty pageants in the world, to which Vietnam has sent a number of representatives, over the years. Two beauties who achieved remarkable success at the Miss World pageant, include Nguyen Thi Huyen who finished in the top 15 of Miss World 2004, and Do My Linh who won the the Beauty with a Purpose award.
