With its strength for sea and island tourism, Quang Ninh province owns its long coastline of over 250 kilometers with over 2,000 islands, creating many famous beautiful beaches. Promoting this advantage, in recent years, Quang Ninh has made great efforts and changes in the management, recognition and exploitation of beaches to serve the tourism growth.
As of the end of June 2019, Quang Ninh has 12 recognized beaches meeting tourist beach standards, including Tuan Chau, Ocean Park, Titov (Ha Long Bay), Luong Ngoc and Quang Hong (Cam Pha City), Mai Quyen (Van Don District), Dau Rong (Hai Ha District) etc.
The quality of tourist beaches has been constantly improved with excellent tourist services, meeting the increasing and diverse needs of visitors. Special attention has been given to the staffs’ professional qualification working at the beaches, especially in the fields of rescue skills, medical services, order security, etc. According to statistics, total number of employees working at the beaches is about 400. Particularly, the staff who have good tourism professional accounting for about 60%, foreign language skills accounting for about 50%. Furthermore, much concern has been paid to the environmental sanitation and public price list, creating safe and civilized business environment.
In recent years, Quang Ninh Province has elaborately invested in the beaches associated with better services and luxury resorts. Son Hao Beach in Van Hai Viglacera Eco-Tourism Area is a good example. This is the only beach meeting the standards to serve tourists on Quan Lan island.
Along with Son Hao beach, Tuan Chau beach in Tuan Chau International Tourism Area is also a typical model. After being invested, the beach has a new and modern bathrooms, a beach supermarket; grid-based garbage collection system. Tourism services have been promoted with the expansion of many restaurants serving over 1,800 tourist arrivals. Currently, the beach is being extended over 5 km to avoid residential areas. Over 10 thousand coconut trees are being planted along the beach.
The beaches that have been strongly invested and upgraded including Ocean Park Beach (Ha Long City), Luong Ngoc Beach (Cam Pha City) and other beaches in the province have created a new appearance for Quang Ninh’s beach tourism areas, thus providing the best tourism services to satisfy visitors’ needs.
