On Dec. 9, in Shenzhen city, (Guangdong-China), Quang Ninh province collaborated with Chinese Research Center for special economic zone- Shenzhen University held an opening ceremony to start a training course on learning from Chinese experiences in building special economic zones for 30 officials representing for relevant departments of Quang Ninh.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Manh Cuong, Deputy Office Manager of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee said that Quang Ninh has great potential for socio-economic development and plans to develop Van Don special administrative and economic zone. Shenzhen is one of the most successful economic zones in the world.
Cuong hoped that through their training course, Quang Ninh's officials would be provided with useful lessons of the way in which Chinese special economic zones was sucessfully developed and operated.
The course will cover various topics, namely: Global trend and current state of the development of special economic zones in the worldl; the establishment of the Chinese special economic zones in general and Shenzhen special economic zone in particular; developing legal framework, policies on foreign trade, investment promotion; economic and administrative reform; policies on alluring fiscal and tax policies; incentives to attract high quality human source and foreign investment; robust policies applied for the development of the infrastructure of the Shenzhen special economic zone.
During two week training course, Quang Ninh's officials will also have a chance to site visit to several successful enterprises, famous universities and tourism attractions in Shenzhen city.
