Traditional wedding of the San Chi

As part of the Binh Lieu Yellow Season Festival, a program displaying typical rituals of a traditional wedding of the San Chi was held on November 6. This performance become a centre of attention in the festival.

The San Chi ethnic people prefer to organize their wedding in the rice ripening season which is considered the most prosperous one in a year in the hope that the newly-married couple will have a happy life.

The groom's family brings wedding offerings including chicken, wine, 12 large Day cakes and 20 small Day cakes.

Some wedding cakes are carefully wrapped in paper and presented back to the representative of the groom's family who will receive the bride.
