In order to implement Quang Ninh Provincial Standing Party’s Committee’s Notice No.32-CT/TU dated Jan 30th, 2020 on urgent measures against acute respiratory disease caused by novel Coronavirus nCoV, tourism establishments in the province have been active in the fight against the epidemic.
At Tuan Chau International Marina (Ha Long City), preventive works against nCoV have been actively conducted. Accordingly, 20 body temperature scanners have been installed at different areas of the marina. Meanwhile, propaganda activities have been enhanced to help ship owners and tourists updated with the disease information and preventive measures.
Travel agencies have postponed or cancelled all tours to nCoV-affected areas as well as refused to receive tourists from disease-hit areas to Quang Ninh. Hotels and tourist accommodations also strengthens supportive measures to ensure tourists’ safety. For example, updating them with the latest information about the epidemic, providing free hand sanitizer gel and face masks.
The tourism sector has already postponed receiving tourists via Mong Cai Border Gate while coordinating with functional bodies to tighten tourists’ entry and exit at Van Don International Airport and seaports. Quang Ninh Tourism Department has issued a document requiring tourists businesses, tourist accommodations, tourist transport companies, tourist attractions to clean their places, make plans to ensure tourists and tourism workers’ safety. If there is any unexpectedly-inspected case, it should be quickly informed to the nearest medical unit for prompt isolation and treatment.
