Ba Che mountainous district owns favorable conditions for tourism development. Over the years, the district implemented efficient solutions to gradually awaken tourism potential.
To effectively exploit and promote tourism potential, since 2013, the district carried out the project on “Preserving and promoting national cultural characteristics and values of relics and beautiful landscapes of Ba Che district in the period of 2013-2015 with a vision to 2020”. From 2019 until now, Ba Che has successfully organized traditional festivals, such as Da Village Communal House in Thanh Lam commune, “Going to the fields” festival in Dap Thanh commune, Mieu Ong – Mieu Ba temple combined with the cultural and sports competition of ethnic groups. The district has implemented two projects which aim at maintaining, preserving and promoting the values of relics and beautiful landscapes in the area, including Luong Mong commune’s ethnic cultural house project, Project on preserving and restoring Mieu Ong – Mieu Ba historical relic.
The district has organized a scientific conference on “Preserving and promoting Dao ethnic cultural heritage values to serve the development of community tourism in Son Hai hamlet, Nam Son commune, Ba Che district”. Particularly, the district invited artisans to teach traditional dances, mask making, fire dance, turle catching techniques, etc for Dao Thanh Y ethnic practitioners in Nam Son commune and Dao Thanh Phan ones in Don Dac commune.
Furthermore, the district has invested in and maintained the operation of Sunday markets in the communes of Luong Mong, Dap Thanh, Thanh Lam and Don Dac and promoted the efficiency of the town’s center market and OCOP stalls. The district planned to develop more products, such as mangrove eco-park, primeval forest eco-tourism sites, sightseeing tour on Ba Che river etc.
Communes, towns and some potential tourism sites have been invested with electricity, communications and internet infrastructure. Currently, the district has four accommodation establishments with 32 rooms recognized as local tourist accommodation establishments; 10 restaurants catering services basically meet tourists’ demand.
The district has focused on developing two tourism routes and three attractions. Route 1: Ba Che town - Nam Son commune which develops spiritual tourism; Route 2: The center of Ba Che district – Thanh Son commune – Thanh Lam commune – Dap Thanh commune which combines spiritual tourism and ecology and community-based tourism; three tourism attractions: Mieu Ong – Mieu Ba relic site, the town’s center market, Da village communal house. The district continues to advertise tourism products to various tourists markets, at the same time promoting investment attraction in tourism development.
