On Mar. 6, in Ha Long city, a training course was officially opened by Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quang Ninh Tourism Association and EU project. Participants are 30 officials of travel and service agencies who are doing business in Quang Ninh province.
This is the second course held in Quang Ninh. It aims to raise management skills for the officials who work in tourism and service agencies in the province. It is expected to contribute to improve the quality of tourism products and services.
During the 4 day-course, learners will have chance to study a number of basic subjects, namely: role and functions of management; skills in inspection activities and dealing with various situations; training and evaluating staff members. Especially, through the training course, participants are able to clearly understand the importance of the Vietnam Tourism Occupational Skills Standards (VTOS). In addition, learners also have opportunities to field-study at some hotels in Quang Ninh.
