According to Quang Ninh Power Company the power grid construction project in rural areas will bring power to 383 hamlets and villages within the province where the power is not available.
The investor of this project is the Northern Power Corporation (EVN NPC) with the total capital of VND 338 billion funded by EVN NPC and QNPPC. The first phase with the total investment capital of around VND 40 billion has been implemented since June, 2011 at 23 hamlets and villages in Hai Ha District, Binh Lieu District and Mong Cai City.
t present, implementation progress of the first phase is being speeding up. This phase is expected to be completed by December, 2011, creating favourable conditions for 1,498 households in the border area to use the national power grid .
It is known that, the second phase of the project will be kicked off at the beginning of 2012 with the total investment capital of almost VND 300 billion to bring power to more than 10,000 households at 360 hamlets and villages in 12 localities. When complete, the project may achieve the goal to bring the national power grid to all hamlets and villages in remote, and border areas within the province where the power is not available.
