In 2019, Tien Yen district has identified tourism development as one of key tasks creating breakthroughs for local economic development. The district has determined to promote tourism associated with culture to turn Tien Yen into a rich cultural center of Northeastern region. To achieve this goal, in 2019, Tien Yen has paid special attention to investment in infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure thereby gradually boosting tourism development.
To make Pac Sui Waterfall become an attractive tourist site, Tien Yen District invested 10 billion VND in building traffic roads and 3 bridges across the waterfall, creating favorable conditions for tourists to travel. The district has actively called on tourism enterprises to invest in transport infrastructure in other tourist sites such as hot springs in Dai Thanh Commune, litchi gardens in Yen Than Commune etc.
In order to develop tourism effectively, Tien Yen district has developed a project on tourism development for the period of 2016 - 2020, with a vision to 2030, focusing on green tourism and ecotourism. Along with that, the district has also paid special attention to the preservation and improvement of the quality of traditional festivals to become unique tourism products that attract more tourists.
The district has implemented the construction of the Tay ethnic cultural village in Dong Dinh hamlet, Phong Du commune; the project of Dao and San Chi cultural villages; Ha Lau village market… Forming a network connecting tourism routes, attractions in neighboring localities, building capacity for human resources, and improving tourism services have been given special attention by the district. Besides, the district have regularly supervised service standards and strictly treated violation cases affecting the image of local tourism and services.
Tien Yen tourism is implementing a strategic direction with robust measures in tourism infrastructure investment. Tien Yen is expected to be one of the promising localities of Quang Ninh attracting a great number of tourists.
