Along with a wide range of cultural, sport and tourism events in respond to the Ha Long-Quang Ninh National Tourims Year 2018, thousands of visitors have flocked to tourism sites of Quang Ninh province leading to a sharp increase in the number of tourists during this year’s national holiday (April 30- May 1).
According to Quang Ninh Tourisms Department, the province received around 530,000 tourist arrivals, a rise of 26 percent over the same poriod last year.
Notably, the number of tourists visiting Ha Long city is about more than 81,000, including over 28,000 international arrivals;and 11,000 visitors stayed over nights in Halong Bay.
As reported, three and five stars hotels were almost fully booked; tourism and entertaiment attractions were packed with tourists. Particulalry, the Ha Long Ocean Park served around 70,000 visitors.
The number of tourists visiting islands in Van Don and Co To were 60,000 and 20,000 respectively.
Visitors to Mong Cai city were around 50,000, of which the ones to the Mong Cai International Border Gate accounted for around 10,000 on the peak days.
