According to the Department of Planning and Investment, the value of industrial production in February is estimated to reach over VND 2,600 bln, up 37.3% in comparison with the same period last year.
Of which, the central industry attained VND 1,800 bln, seeing a rise of nearly 40% over the same period of 2011; the local industry reached VND 459 bln, an increase of 44.6% compared to the same period last year. Industry with FDI achieved VND 345 bln, up 18.5%.
In the first two months of 2012, a wide range of industrial products has grown at high rate. Specifically, in February, clean coal is estimated to reach 3.8 million tons, consuming coal is 3.4 million tons. The total output of coal in the two first months is 6.1 million tons, up 10.8% over the same period last year. Power for production increases 20.4%; especially, in the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2012, Quang Ninh Electricity ensured power for production as well as for daily life of the local people.
