The UK delegation visits Quang Ninh

On Dec. 15, a representative delegation of the ministries, sectors and localities of the U.K led by Mr. William Longhurst - Deputy Head of East Asia and Pacific Department under Foreign Affair and Commonwealth Office (FCO) of the U.K  paid a working visit to Quang Ninh. Mr. Tran Trong Trung, vice-chairman of Ha Long City People’s Committee has received and worked with the delegation.

At the reception, Mr. Tran Trong Trung has sent his greetings to the delegation and briefly introduced about potential advantages and strengths as well as outstanding achievements of Quang Ninh province in recent years. He especially emphasized  the development of industry, tourism and services. He hoped that after this working visit, the delegation will provide the FCO and the Government of the U.K with useful recommendations regarding the investment in a number of areas in Quang Ninh in particular and in Vietnam in general.

Mr. William Longhurst expressed his delight to be in Quang Ninh and witness the province’s outstanding achievements in recent years. He confirmed that this working visit in Quang Ninh has brought to all the members of the delegation good opportunities to more understand about the dynamic economy as well as  investments in infrastructure development of Quang Ninh province. He also wished to continue to contribute to the development of the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the U.K.

Previously, in the morning of Dec. 15, the delegation visited Ha Long Bay and Cai Lan Port.
