According to the news from Mong Cai City People’s Committee, in the first month of 2012, the total number of tourists traveling through Mong Cai border gate was estimated to gain 48,000 arrivals, equal to 123.7% compared to the same period last year.
Of which, the number of domestic tourists visiting Mong Cai was estimated to reach 5,000 arrivals, equal to 118% over the same period. Particularly, on the first day of the 1st lunar month, around 527 tourist arrivals of over 10 international travel agencies enter Vietnam through Mong Cai border gate to visit Ha Long city and other tourist destinations in the country.
