This year, thanks to favorable weather and long national holiday (September 2nd) the number of tourists to Ha Long Bay through the Bai Chay Tourist Wharf hit a record ever.
According to the statistics of the Bai Chay Tourist Wharf, on September 2nd, there was 9,242 visits of the tourists to Ha Long Bay with over 462 turns of day trip boats, up to more than 20% over the same period of 2010 and more than 60% in comparison with 2009. The visitors mainly took short tours from 4 to 6 hours.
According to the statistics of the Bai Chay Tourist Wharf, on September 2nd, there was 9,242 visits of the tourists to Ha Long Bay with over 462 turns of day trip boats, up to more than 20% over the same period of 2010 and more than 60% in comparison with 2009. The visitors mainly took short tours from 4 to 6 hours.
Also according to their statistics, within September 1st, there was about 3,600 visits of tourists to Ha Long Bay.
Mr Doan Manh Linh- head of Profession Division of under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated this year, due to long national holiday, the majority of the tourists to Quang Ninh are domestic.
Mr Pham Quoc Binh, Head of Bai Chay Tourist Wharf said that his company has actively developed the plan to serve visitors on the occasion of this holiday. Specifically, various methods have been enhanced to ensure the security and safety for visitors; the price of all services is controlled and the traffic at the wharf is well managed.
In addition, 100% of staff members have been mobilized to work on holiday. The number of day trip boats hase been increased to adequately serve the visitors.
