In the afternoon of December 14, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads of Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies in overseas for the 2020-2023 term led by Standing Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son had a meeting with Quang Ninh’s leaders to be updated with information about socio-economic development and foreign affairs of the province in 2019.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated Quang Ninh's breakthroughs in recent years, especially focusing on its activeness and creativeness in strengthening external relations, international integration and making the most of potentials and strengths to develop the province in the modern and sustainable orientation.
Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee, cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky affirmed that Quang Ninh, with its role and position as a locality with a strategic position in socio-economic development and defense, security, has made efforts in all aspects to achieve positive results in recent years. Quang Ninh has received support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads of Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies in overseas.
Having said that, Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky wished that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the heads of Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies in overseas would continue to support Quang Ninh in external activities and international integration. Quang Ninh will also closely work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and central ministries and agencies in organizing international events hosted by Vietnam, thereby contributing to improving Quang Ninh's position as well as building a national brand and image.
Previously, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads of Vietnamese diplomatic representative agencies in term of 2020-2030 visited and explored the model of Quang Ninh's smart city operation center.
