The 2nd Culture and Sports Week of Ethnic Minority Groups ended on Oct. 14.
With the theme of “Tien Yen - Connecting Colors of Ethnic Minority Groups in Quang Ninh’s Northeastern Region", the event draws the participation of 13 localities within Quang Ninh and the neighbouring districts of Lang Son province, namely Dinh Lap, Loc Binh and Cao Loc. This made up a briliant and vivid picture of diversified and unique cultural characteristcics of the ethnic minority groups.
The event left a deep impression for visitors and local people with a series of cultural and sports activities, such as Tien Yen chicken food festival, folk music festival, ethnic traditional costume shows, dance performances as well as traditional folk sport competitions.
The success of the Culture and Sports Week of Ethnic Minority Groups is a good chance for Tien Yen to introduce its image not only to the dometic visitors but also international friends, and eye the target of conserving and effectively tapping its natual resources, as well as developing eco-tourism products with rich national indentity.
