Taking place in Mid-August, 2017, the 1st Culture and Sports Week of the Ethnic Minority Groups in Quang Ninh’s Northeastern Region left a deep impression on visitors. This year’s event will continue to take place in Tien Yen district with a wide range of new activities, promising to be a typical tourism product of Tien Yen, contributing to preserve the unique cultural characteristics of Quang Ninh’s Northeastern region.
Located in the Northeast of Quang Ninh, Tien Yen is the home to many ethnic minority groups, who still remains their own typical cultural characteristics. Besides, some of the cultural characteristics which seem to be forgotten for a long time, is now recovered. This creates a colourful picture of culture, contributing to enrich the treasure of cultural heritages of Quang Ninh land.
Hoang Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of Tien Yen District People’s Committee, said that the Culture and Sports Week of the Ethnic Minority Groups in Quang Ninh’s Northeastern Region is not only a festival for the locals and visitors, but also a chance to introduce the image of Tien Yen in particular and Quang Ninh in general to friends nationwide and worldwide.
With the participation of all the localities in Quang Ninh, Lang Son and Bac Giang provinces, the success of this annual event helps to promote the spirit of solidarity amongs ethnic minority groups, and introduce Tien Yen’s potential and advantage to visitors and investors in order to attract investments to the district.
To date, the event is ready occur on October 10.
Earlier, a workshop with the theme of “Tien Yen tourism- potential and Development” with the attendance of nearly 30 tourism businesses was held as an activitiy to warm up the 2nd Culture and Sports Week of the Ethnic Minority Groups in Quang Ninh’s Northeastern Region.
“The Culture and Sports Week of the Ethnic Minority Groups in Quang Ninh’s Northeastern Region is expected to bring the locals and visitors new experiences. Of which, the highlight is the performances featuring unique cultural characteristics of the ethnic minority groups, thereby helping visitors to get to know more about the ethnic minority groups in Quang Ninh’s Northeastern Region”, added the Vice Chairman.
