The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently issued the Decision No 1271 on organizing the 18th Vietnam Films Festival. Accordingly, the festival will occur in the last quarter of the year 2013 in Ha Long city.
This is the first festival that will be held every two odd years. Diffirent kinds of films, such as movies, video films, documentary films, science films, short films, and cartoons... will compete for the Golden Lotus at the festival.
The National Film Festival this year promises to gather all the Vietnamese film makers who have received many awards. During the festival, a variety of activities will be held, such as seminar, film market, movie evening gala and exchanges between producers and audience.
