“Tet reunion” programme at Ha Long High School for Gifted Students
A lunar New Year (Tet) celebration event entitled “Tet reunion” was held at Ha Long High School for Gifted Students (CHL) in Ha Long city on January 12.
The program included a variety of cultural activities such as a Tet-themed decoration contest that requires each class to prepare a traditional five-fruit tray, a drinking table or a small Tet corner in their stalls, art performances, folk games, etc.
Participants also joined an auction to raise money for the school’s charity fund spent on Tet gifts for SOS children's village which supports children without parental care and families at risk.
On this occasion, Tet gifts were presented to a number of CHL students living under difficult circumstanes.
The "Tet reunion" program created a joyful and warm atmosphere and hightlighted traditional cultural values which need to be retained and nurtured by the young in general and students at the leading high school in the province in particular.
