Singapore International School inaugurated in Ha Long

On March 30, the Vietnam KinderWorld Joint Stock Company, an affiliate of Singapore KinderWorld International Group held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Singapore International School in Ha Long city.

Prominent among those were Chairman of Quang Ninh province Nguyen Duc Long and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Ky.

The Singapore International School in Ha Long city is the 15th campus invested and managed by the Singapore KinderWorld International Group, a prestigious education corporation in Vietnam. The campus includes a modern lecture hall, a physics hall and other supporting areas, enabling to have an enrollment of 1,000 students.

Along with the KinderWorld International Kindergarten, the Singapore International School is part of the Singapore International Education Complex which is estimated to cost VND 270 billion and has a total area of 7 hectares at the urban area of Ha Long Marina at Hung Thang ward in Ha Long city. The educational institutions have been opened since August 2018 with hundreds of students, both locals and foreigners, ranging from nursery level to the 3rd grade of primary education one. Those who study from 4th grade to 7th grade have been accepted since the beginning of the school term of 2018-2019.

SIS provides a bilingual education with experienced and professional teachers. Its students have a great chance to not merely enhance their language competence but also learn essential skills that international universities and employers highly appreciate, team work and presentation for example.

On this occasion, the Singapore KinderWorld International Group, a partner of Outward Bound Vietnam, announced the operation of the life skill training center of Outward Bound Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Duc Long underlined the SIS’s important role in providing locals with an internationally standardized educational system, contributing to the improvement of the province’s human resources in particular and its sustainable socio-economic development in general.
